Tree Planting at Kilfinan

On our most recent Woodland Weekend to the stunning Kilfinan Community Forest deep in the Argyll forests, a team of 8 volunteers joined forces with Tighnabruaich Primary to help plant 840 native trees.

Courtesy of the Woodland Trust, the tree species planted fell into two categories. ‘Winter Colour Pack’ – Rowan, Hawthorn, Cherry, Hazel and Dogwood.
‘Wetland Pack’ – Downy Birch, Rowan, Grey Willow, Osier and Dogwood.

In spite of the rain, the team made a massive contribution to transforming the landscape of the area and we are honoured to be a part of its future heritage.
