Mindful Team Building

From business leaders to athletes, people are using Mindfulness to improve concentration and enhance performance.

Mindfulness is the practice of deliberately and gently focusing our attention on the present moment.

Research indicates that practicing Mindfulness:

  • helps to prevent and reduce stress and depression (stress related illness accounts for 40% of staff absences per year)
  • is beneficial for a number of physical conditions and can improve physical health
  • helps to reduce anxiety, enabling greater awareness, concentration and decision-making capability

Your team will learn how to apply techniques that help them improve mental and physical well-being, deepen relationships with each other and reduce negative thoughts and emotions.  A break from the day-to-day with a lasting benefit.

Your team will enjoy good food and good company in a relaxed environment.

Morning

Your team will be given a number of Mindfulness experiences. After discussing the techniques and attitudes intrinsic to Mindfulness, you will be invited to participate in Mindfulness walking, Mindfulness movement and Mindfulness meditation in the woods and on the beach.

Through regular Mindfulness practice we can become aware of the emotions that we hold, and why.  Mindfulness can then empower us to stop reacting to a mind that seems to have a life of its own, and so enables us to make choices about how we would like to engage and respond with our world. This can transform our relationships with our self and with others, which has practical applications for many every aspects of life.

Lunch

While the morning workshop is taking place, our team will be setting up a shelter and cooking up lunch over an open flame– all the ingredients needed for a special outdoor meal to be savoured under a canopy of trees.

Afternoon

Put what you have learned during the morning session into practice in a group craft workshop and create something that you can take away at the end of the day, such as a carved item or piece of woven willow.

The cost is from £1500 per day. This includes a mindfulness expert and an experienced woodland craft leader for the day of your event, all tools and equipment, public liability insurance, risk assessment, first aid cover and an exceptional lunch and refreshments.
