Willow Basket Weaving Workshop – sorry NOW FULLY BOOKED

Saturday 18th March 2017

Green hub site, Edinburgh

In this one day course with Geoff Forrest, expert willow weaver, we will be learning the immensely satisfying craft of weaving a basket out of willow.

The willow has been harvested, dried out and then re-soaked to make it pliable and easy to bend by hand. Creating a basket this way can absorb you for a whole day and leave you with a piece of work that is functional, beautiful and uniquely personal. Geoff has a friendly, relaxed, patient teaching style that will support you in learning at your own pace and ensure that your day is very enjoyable and you come away with something to treasure made with your own fair hands.

We will provide a delicious vegetarian lunch and warm drinks and snacks throughout the day.

Please let us know in advance if you have any special dietary requirements.

We are asking everyone to meet at our green “hub” in central Edinburgh at 10am and we should finish up around 5pm.
