Rewilding Bamff, Woodland Weekend – sorry NOW FULLY BOOKED

Friday 10th February 2017 – Sunday 12th February 2017

Bamff House, near Alyth, Perthshire

We’re going back to the home of the beavers. Bamff is a lovely place on the edge of Perthshire and Angus with hills, woods and streams and its own resident population of European beaver and wild boar. Our visit usually includes a guided tour with the owner, who will answer any questions you are ever likely to have about any large Scottish native mammals.

Activity

We will either be cutting and burning invasive rhododendrons or thinning and pruning in the young woodlands.

Accommodation

We will be staying in the ‘big hoose’ complete with beds.   You will need a sleeping bag, pillowslip and towel.

Food

We will provide breakfasts, lunches and Saturday’s dinner.  All meals will be vegetarian with much of the produce sourced locally and organic. We will stop for fish and chips on the way up.

Transport

We will pick you up at 6 pm on Friday from outside the old Royal High School, Regent Road in the centre of Edinburgh and aim to have you back in Edinburgh by 6 pm on the Sunday evening.

Group Leader

Donald McPhillimy
