Our Carbon Journey

Carbon training workshops

Doing the right thing for the planet can be good for finances. Reducing travel, waste and energy consumption all save your organisation money. Benefits extend to the individual too, with employees rediscovering the joy of cycling to work or eating locally produced food.

We provide bespoke training and events for your staff to allow your team to:

  • Become carbon literate and understand your carbon footprint.
  • Discover innovative ways to reduce it that can also increase organisational productivity
  • Communicate clearly about climate change.

The format of the workshop can be tailored to suit your needs. Our experince managing woodlands and making sustainable products, means that we can combine discussion sessions with hands-on experience. We also organise market-style events, where your employees can drop in to learn from environmental experts, interactive displays and local green retailers and charities.

Case Study: Everything Baby Highland

Project
To offer bespoke Carbon Awareness training for staff and volunteers of this new Baby goods reuse project in Inverness.

The morning session covered basic Carbon awareness and literacy including foot-printing and how to effectively communicate about Climate Change

The afternoon session was with staff and board members and focused on developing the workshop that will be delivered to expectant and new parents.  As well as content we looked at how to create an emotional connection that will create lasting behavioural change.

What they said:

“I’ve been to numerous carbon workshops and none have been as informative, thought provoking and enjoyable as this one.  Liz really communicated ideas effectively and gave me some really good pointers for an up and coming focus group I am running.  Thank you.”
